WHO AM I ?

ABOUT ME…

My name is Vitiya Rattinom, I come from a small town near Lyon. I am 23 years old. Having parents of Indian origin, being born and having grown up under the Western influence, I like to mix my oriental culture with my western influence of the French great couture during my projects.

I fell in love with fashion fairly quickly when I was a teenager (in high school junior according to my memories …), I always liked making things by hand. My passion for fashion came after my passion for drawing. I had fun with my twin sister customizing our clothes to make them a little more up to date by pretending to be a great designer.

So I quickly turned to the fashion world which was obvious to me, my bachelor’s degree in fashion was very rewarding, I learned all the basics of sewing. During these three years, I had the opportunity to do several internships in the fashion industry, notably in French ready-to-wear companies but also in wedding dress shops.

Subsequently, my second passion took over, I was lucky to be accepted to do a year of upgrading in applied art. I had the opportunity to touch on several branches of design (textile design, fashion, product, space, graphics, photography …), it especially allowed me to sharpen my sense of aesthetics.

My love for sewing led me to follow my studies in BTS in the clothing option fashion trades in which I could learn about industrial techniques and above all have the spirit of analysis and research of technological solutions . During these years, I used a modeler’s perspective which was very enriching. I did an internship with a designer with a designer of wedding dresses. This meticulous and meticulous world of wedding dress made me realize that the field of haute couture and craft techniques could interest me more. I really like to mix my industrial journey with the craft environment.

I chose this year to do a training (FCIL) in specific sewing and luxury techniques. I have the opportunity to study several modules (blur module, tailor, molding, drape, bustier) just as interesting as each other, you can find my articles on this subject in the tab “The little ‘workshop” . This year is pivotal for me because it is going to be my last year of study to then get started in working life.

You now know me a little better …
